Fair Highlights
Networking Reception
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT) hosted a glamorous Networking Reception at the 70th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair. This event, a highlight of the fair, provided a valuable opportunity for exhibitors, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, VIPs, and international trade representatives to network and form business partnerships in a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere.
MoU Signing Ceremony
At Bangkok Gems, The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) or GIT has signed a Memorundum of Understanding (MoU) with Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) to promote environmental sustainability within the gems and jewelry industry. This partnership is aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of gemstone and jewelry production by encouraging more eco-friendly practices among manufacturers and designers.
LED Color Grading Cabinet
GIT Elevates Research and Innovation by Collaborating with W.I.P. Electric Co., Ltd. to Develop the World's First LED Color Grading Cabinet for Gemstones. These products are designed for gem testing laboratories and interested businesses to grade gemstone colors accurately. This innovation not only reduces the need for expensive imported light boxes but is also the world's first to use light-emitting diode (LED) technology with a spectrum close to natural sunlight. This development supports Thailand's goal of becoming a global hub for gem and jewelry production and trade.
